Institut Teknologi Bandung has a limited number of student housing options, so many students choose to live off-campus. You are free to select the type of accommodation that suits you best, whether it’s a shared apartment, private room, or homestay.
In Indonesia, arranging housing by email or phone can sometimes be tricky, as face-to-face communication is often preferred. Most students finalize rental agreements and prices after they arrive in the city.
It’s a good idea to stay at a hostel or hotel for the first few days in Bandung. This gives you time to explore different neighborhoods, compare housing options, and meet other students or potential roommates. ITB offers a limited number of rooms in its dormitories. Reservations are managed through the host faculty and must be made at least one month before your arrival, depending on room availability.

Most private housing and apartments near ITB are owned and managed by third parties. For temporary stays, some recommended hotels and guesthouses include Sapadia Guest House, Beehive Hotel, and House Sangkuriang Bandung.
For longer-term stays, you may consider residence options or apartments such as SkyCity Home, Parahyangan Residence Apartment, Beverly Dago Apartment, Dago Butik Apartment, or Galeri Ciumbuleuit Apartments. Apartments often offer better facilities and more comfort for extended stays.
