Crossing Borders

Seminars International is partnering with Grinnell College on a very interesting program this coming June called Crossing Borders: Migration and Membership in the 21st Century. It is a semester-long course with two embedded travel components: one to Arizona, California and Tijuana, Mexico; the second to Spain, Greece, and Germany. (Seminars is involved only in the European portion.)

The two travel components allow faculty and students to compare the US/Mexico border and related issues with borders, migration policies, and refugees in parts of Europe. The topic is incredibly timely and important. Inside Higher Ed published a story this morning about the course, called Studying the Borderlands.
